In a major funding milestone, Ozone, has successfully raised $7.1 million in seed funding, marking the launch of its open beta phase. This strategic influx of capital is set to propel Ozone into the forefront of the video editing landscape, redefining how content creators approach their craft.

Von Wolff’s journey from MIT’s computer science halls to the decision to drop out and join Y Combinator underscores the visionary origins of Ozone. With a dynamic team of nine professionals boasting experience from companies like Adobe, Frame.io, InVision, and Disney, Ozone stands poised to simplify the intricacies of video editing.

From removing silences to seamlessly integrating captions, animations, color correction, and music, Ozone’s AI-driven platform is designed to be a versatile ally.

Setting itself apart from industry giants like Adobe, Ozone places a premium on user-friendly collaboration, addressing the complexity and collaboration limitations prevalent in existing tools. Post-launch, Ozone plans to adopt a freemium business model. Individual Pro users can gain access to the platform for a monthly fee of $29, with enterprise pricing tailored for companies yet to be disclosed.

The recent funding round, featuring contributions from Y Combinator, NEA, General Catalyst, LGVP, Bluewatch Ventures, Polymath Capital Partners, Pioneer Fund, SOMA Capital, Olive Tree Capital, and notable founders from Dropbox, Tinder, and Lightricks, positions Ozone for significant growth. The capital injection will drive further platform enhancements, with additional AI functionalities slated for release in the coming months.
