Snapchat Global Rollout of Year-End Recap Kicks Off on December 13

Snapchat is set to launch its widely anticipated annual Snapchat Recap globally

Snapchat, starting tomorrow, December 13. Users can expect a personalized journey through their year, as the platform categorizes their Snaps into engaging themes such as “Beach, Please” for scenic water captures and “Felt Cute, Will Delete Later” highlighting year-round selfies.

In addition to the recap feature, Snapchat is offering insights into user activity throughout the year. Notably, popular Snap locations include the Dubai Mall, Magic Kingdom Park, the Eiffel Tower, Times Square, and Fenway Park.

Snapchat users can also discover trending Snaps across various cultural moments like Valentine’s Day, Back-to-School season, Halloween, and spring fashion. The platform revealed that top Lenses of the year included Baby Cheeks, Anime AI, AI Universe, Sibling, and Goofy Gaze.

Year-end recaps have gained popularity, inspired in part by the success of Spotify’s annual Wrapped experience. Snapchat joins the trend as other platforms, including Apple Music, YouTube, and Reddit, have already introduced their own recap features this month.

To access your Snapchat recap, head to the Memories section of the Snapchat app once it’s ready. As with similar features, Snapchat users have the option to share their year-end story with others or save it for personal viewing at a later time.

Since Snapchat mentions that the Recap will commence its global rollout tomorrow, not everyone may gain immediate access to their personalized recaps. Stay tuned for this engaging trip down memory lane on the popular social media platform.
