From “a planet made out of cheese” to “a dog sleeping on a rocket,” the AI brings these imaginative prompts to life. Once generated, users can edit, download, and share the images with friends.
The AI image generator expands beyond bitmoji backgrounds and chat wallpapers, allowing Snapchat+ subscribers to now send AI-generated images directly to their friends. Although Snapchat did not disclose the specific model behind this feature, the company mentioned having partnerships with various foundational models.
In addition to this groundbreaking addition, subscribers gain access to a new AI-powered extend tool. This tool proves useful when users want to adjust the composition of an image, automatically providing a zoomed-out version with AI assistance to fill in the background.
Another exciting update involves the integration of the Dream selfie feature into social interactions. Snapchat+ users can now use Dream with friends, creating fantastical images of themselves and selecting friends to join in different scenarios. For example, users can depict themselves and a friend as mermaids and share these creative images either directly or on their stories. Snapchat+ subscribers receive one free pack of eight Dreams per month.
