Despite Yves Bernaert’s departure after overseeing an intense phase of transformation, Atos cautioned that free cash flow for the latter part of the year might fall slightly below the initial target. This announcement triggered a 16% decline shares during early trading, contributing to a cumulative 40% decrease in the stock since the year’s commencement.

To complement Saleh’s elevation, Jacques-Francois de Prest will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer, bringing his experience from finance roles at Mobivia, a car parts business, and telecoms group Vodafone.

In the context of challenges, reports from Les Echos newspaper on Monday shed light on difficulties within restructuring plan. Notably, the protracted negotiation for the sale of the Tech Foundations arm, currently incurring losses, poses a significant hurdle. A potential deal with Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky’s EPEI is in limbo, with an imperative “last chance” meeting between the involved parties scheduled in the coming days.

Despite the hurdles, Atos has refrained from initiating conciliation proceedings with creditors. The company emphasizes Saleh’s strategic priorities, including refinancing debt, the impending sale of Tech Foundations, and the divestment of Big Data & Security (BDS) activities to Airbus (AIR.PA). These efforts signal Atos’ commitment to strategic initiatives, even in the face of challenges.

As developments unfold, representatives for Atos and the Kretinsky camp have not provided immediate responses to requests for comments on the reported proceedings remains focused on its path forward, navigating complexities with resilience and determination.
