Apple Music has taken an unexpected step by discontinuing its economical Voice Plan

Officially, Apple refrained from making a public declaration about the Voice Plan’s discontinuation.

“As of November, Apple will begin phasing out the Apple Music Voice plan. Our primary emphasis remains on delivering the utmost music experience to our customers, encompassing immersive Spatial Audio, real-time lyric synchronization through Apple Music Sing, user-friendly browsing and discovery features, and more.”

Although Apple has not disclosed the specific reasons behind this discontinuation, it is plausible to surmise that the plan did not garner significant popularity. Users might have expressed dissatisfaction with its limitations, such as the absence of real-time lyrics and the inability to augment their music library or craft personalized playlists. It is noteworthy that the Voice Plan was only accessible in a select roster of countries, including the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Austria, Canada, Mexico, China, France, Germany, Spain, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Taiwan.
For those lamenting the departure of the Siri-exclusive experience, Apple seeks to reassure them that all other Apple Music subscription plans—Individual ($11/month), Student ($6/month), Family ($17/month), and Apple One—continue to offer Siri functionality, inclusive of Type to Siri, affording subscribers the capability to play any song, album, playlist, or radio station.
At this juncture, the Voice Plan has been officially expunged from Apple’s website. Existing Voice Plan subscribers retain the privilege to continue utilizing the service until their current billing cycle culminates, albeit with auto-renewal deactivated
