BYD, recognized as Tesla’s (TSLA.O) formidable Chinese competitor, is already operating a plant in Komarom, northwest Hungary, dedicated to the assembly of electric buses. This facility, inaugurated in April 2016, marked a pivotal moment for BYD as it marked the company’s maiden manufacturing venture in Europe.
With over 30 industrial parks and production bases spread globally, including the U.S., Brazil, Japan, and India, BYD continues to fortify its position in the electric vehicle market.
