In the realm of enterprise software Integration App, Daniil Bratchenko, a former employee at DataRobot, noticed this challenge and decided to tackle it head-on by founding Integration app. The startup recently emerged from stealth mode with $3.5 million in funding, led by Crew Capital, and aims to simplify the integration process for engineering teams.
Bratchenko recognized that building integrations can be a time-consuming task, diverting valuable engineering hours away from core features. A survey by Salesforce’s MuleSoft confirmed that 90% of companies face integration challenges, with 20% finding it highly time-consuming and 44% struggling to integrate apps with existing systems.
Integration app, positioned as an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) provider, sets itself apart by leveraging large language models (LLMs) similar to ChatGPT. The platform’s “connector builder” tool utilizes LLMs to read API documentation, allowing customers to create thousands of connectors quickly. For example, developers can configure a single integration scenario, and Integration will automatically map APIs and UIs across multiple apps, generating dozens of connectors.
While Integration faces competition in the growing iPaaS sector, Bratchenko believes their technology offers a significant advantage. The platform’s use of LLMs streamlines the integration process, providing efficiency and customizability that surpasses legacy competitors. Zapier and Amazon are also exploring AI-powered features for app integration, with Zapier introducing Canvas, an AI-powered tool for workflow mapping, and Amazon planning to incorporate LLMs in AWS AppFabric.
Despite the challenges of catalyzing a mindset shift among engineering teams, Integration.app has gained traction, securing dozens of paying customers within just four months of commercialization. Bratchenko remains confident that the platform’s step-function improvement in efficiency and customizability will drive widespread adoption among developers.
