Chinese automakers Li Auto, Great Wall Motor, Zeekr, and the new EV unit of Xiaomi will leverage Nvidia’s DRIVE technology to power their automated driving capabilities. This move underscores the significance of China’s burgeoning EV market for Nvidia’s automotive technology business. As domestic automakers in China intensify their competition to introduce advanced in-vehicle infotainment displays and automated driving features, Nvidia sees a substantial growth opportunity.

The surge in demand for advanced semiconductor solutions in China presents challenges for Nvidia and its U.S.-based counterparts, particularly in navigating the intricacies of tighter U.S. controls on semiconductor exports to China. Despite these challenges, the collaboration with Li Auto, Great Wall Motor, Zeekr, and Xiaomi’s new EV unit solidifies Nvidia’s position as a key player in China’s rapidly evolving EV landscape.

In additional CES revelations, Nvidia disclosed its collaboration with advertising giant WPP, Lotus, and six other companies to advance online shopping tools.
