Highlighting Ala-Pietila’s current engagements, his LinkedIn profile showcases his role as Chairman on the boards of Huhtamaki, a leading packaging company, Sanoma Corporation, a dynamic learning company, and the HERE Technology supervisory board.

Punit Renjen, a former CEO of Deloitte, is stepping down due to a “difference in perspective on the role of SAP Supervisory Board chair, which Punit Renjen was designated to assume,” as stated in SAP’s official communication. The statement, however, did not provide explicit details regarding the nature of this divergence in viewpoint.

The effective date of Punit Renjen’s resignation is scheduled for SAP’s next annual general meeting on May 15. Renjen was designated as the chairman in February of the preceding year, with the explicit purpose of succeeding the company’s co-founder Hasso Plattner after Plattner’s distinguished two-decade tenure concludes in May 2024.
