Harnessing the Power of Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service
a formidable competitor to Google Maps and HERE, utilized various Microsoft services, including the Azure OpenAI Service, to bring this voice assistant to life. The Azure OpenAI Service, a potent tool for enterprises, leverages the capabilities of ChatGPT, an extensive language model developed by OpenAI.
This voice assistant isn’t limited to a single application; it seamlessly integrates into diverse automotive infotainment systems. Additionally, it comes pre-installed in Digital Cockpit, an open and modular in-vehicle infotainment platform.
TomTom’s Continued Investment in Generative AI
Recognizing the potential of generative AI, TomTom finance chief, Taco Titulaer, shared in October that the company was actively investing resources in this burgeoning technology. In July, TomTom introduced an LLM plug-in for ChatGPT, allowing users to plan trips and explore new destinations using the company’s detailed maps.
